Anniversary Away: Old Town Ontario

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you may already know that a week or so ago the hubby and I decided to take a little excursion north of Toronto to Caledon, Ontario. We’re travelling a lot this summer (more about that later) but we still decided to take a mini-vacay to Millcroft Inn & Spa to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.

Although it rained like crazy, it made us appreciate the weather we had for our actual wedding day (read about that here: “One Year Wed: Our Story”) just a little more. We stayed in a fabulous two story room that I could have lived in, wood burning fireplace and all. We loved the little anniversary card and wine that greeted us upon our arrival. It rained and rained and rained…and we did get a little leak in the roof, but that didn’t make the private hot tub any less alluring! Who knew driving only an hour and a half out of the city you can experience a total getaway, a world complete with lush greenery and waterfalls.

I can’t resist a small historical town. I of course insisted that we do some exploring and take a few snaps. Comfort level is important to me when travelling, a roomy top and stretchy jeans are the answer!

The next trip starts in just a few days, but a tad farther this time. Off to Panama!

Check out their spectacular history in “Ola! Historical Old City Casco Viejo Panama”. I’ve also shared my favourite tips and tricks about visiting a rainforest, in the middle of a metropolis in “Urban Rainforest: Parque Natural Metropolitano, Panama”. Oh, and if you’ve ever wondered what rarely explored islands in the middle of the ocean are like “Panama Pearl: Isla Contadora in the Pearl Islands, Panama” will knock your socks off!
